Mt. Edith Cavell

So we trek out to see this Mt. Edith Cavell....a must see. Well the road is enough to never want me to go back. Very bumpy, very narrow and way to many switchbacks..I thought we were going to die. The walk was beautiful and not very hard...however at the end of our hike we realized what we had just experienced. There is a glacier at the bottom of the mountain. We all touched parts of the glacier at the lake area, however we all trekked closer to this glacier...Shawn and Kristen took off and went into the glacier. Amy, Ty and myself watched as they stood on and went inside a glacier....then we also saw pieces of glacier breaking off and everyone inside this glacier running. Some ran out and went back in...Shawn and Kristen came back to where we were after taking some spectacular pictures. Some young kid decided to walk ontop of the cave where the people were in and who knows what ended up happening to him. On the way back we saw a sign which I wish we would have seen sooner. It tells you that what you are standing on is glacier where you could fall into the crevices and that there are large pieces of the glacier that fall and could start an avalanche. All the rock you see in the pictures and even above the glacier and below it are rocks slides that are covering the glacier. So glad no one got hurt in my family. I would say that I am jealous that I didn't get closer (hindsight) because I'm sure the pictures don't do the massive size and glory justice.
