Amy makes the volleyball team

Amy made the volleyball team at Parkside. I wasn't a part of the selection process which was a good thing. However, I coached this team. Amy is a setter, just like her mom. It's very impressive to see how Amy improved from her first game. By the end of their season, she was able to pull off 3 hits with her team. They even attempted to spike the ball. Something important I think Amy has learned is that the serve is very important. Without that, you can't play the game..Amy also learned the importance of team work. Without your fellow teammates, it would be impossible to play. It's wonderful to see the camaraderie and friendships that form in team sports. The girls were really good at keeping the spirits up of their fellow teammates. It was a blast to coach volleyball. If all goes well...I will do it again next year.
