Holiday Spirit & House Changes

Well...in the last couple of weeks, Shawn managed to put in the laminate flooring and put in a new bathroom sink and counter top. Yeah! If you look back a few pictures earlier you will see what it looked like before. Much, Much better now. I love the laminate flooring and the new bathroom sink. We also managed to put up a few decorations...i.e. the Christmas Tree. We looked high and low for this one. Schroeder's from Rosenfeld no longer are selling trees...who knew, Co-op in town were sold out and so it's off to Winkler we go. Had to stop at the Stupid (I mean Super) Store and we saw the trees...weren't hooked, but figured what the hey. The tree cost only $25 and so far it has been by far the best. Being our 3rd year of having a real tree....it has been the best and by far the cheapest. I believe we paid $75 last year for ours which lost almost all the needles by Christmas. Then with having a youngen in our midst again...We went all out and made a fireplace and mantle so that Santa can come into the house to leave presents. We have to make the chimney yet and place the stockings on it. It's strong enough to place items on the mantle...Much better than the one we made for our girls when they were little. So...this last Saturday, Ty and the girls decorated the tree. If you can believe it, they did it all by themselves. Wonderful memories were born that day. It's days like this, you really see the wonder in life and appreciate all that God gives you.
