Banffward Bound

After the Calgary Zoo and a night just in the outskirts of Calgary we were off to Banff for 5 nights. We were supposed to stay at Tunnel Mountain campground just at the tip of the town of Banff but after seeing the campground and the 600+ campers stacked side by side we headed for Johnston Canyon where we lucked out and got the jackpot of campsites. We got site 64. We had a creek bed behind our site and a walk to the front of the driveway gave us a view of the mountains. Bathrooms and showers were awesome with even a wash station for dishes just a few sites away. You really couldn't ask for anything better. The site was huge and gave alot of privacy. Here are a few pictures of the ride up to the site and the site itself. The girls made a couple of inukshuks (not sure if that's how you spell it) in the middle of the creek bed.
