News part 2

Ok...for those of you who are not on face book...Kristen broke her arm in school on Dec. 4th...we found out it was broken on Dec. 10th and had it casted on Dec. 11th...I still feel bad about this as I didn't think anything was wrong..there was no swelling and no bruising which led me to believe it was hurting but not seriously hurt...I was wrong...

Then...Ty tells Shawn and myself that God is coming for him and they are going to live in Heaven on Dec. 17th...I was beside myself...He said that he knew he wasn't going to see me or his Daddy or sisters, but he was ready to go away with God...That freaked me out..we went to bed and I held him in my arms all night and kissed him alot...Then we woke on the 18th...We got ready for the babysitters and when Shawn said I'll see you later Ty...he says "no I won't, God is coming for me"...It took a bit and finally he said he would see Shawn later...Then I talk to the babysitter later and he again repeats he won't be getting older. I picked him up for lunch that day and he was with his Grammy for the afternoon. He finally stopped talking like that...He only mentioned he was told another child didn't believe Santa was real, but didn't seem to miss a beat. Then.....

later that night...Friday, Dec. 18th ..approx. 8pm Ty gets a butter knife and tries to open a door...No one sees this happen, but it was confirmed at the hospital.. The knife slips and cuts his left eye...I take him to Altona Hospital where the doc looks at him and thinks he needs to be sent to Wpg. So I call Shawn at work and get him to leave a check stop to come to the hospital...We left Altona approx. 8:19 and get to Wpg outskirts at 9:19...We got to the Miserecordia at about 9:35. It is packed full...Lots of drunks and MHA's...very scary for me as Ty managed to fall asleep on our way to Wpg and remain sleeping until we saw the doc. at 1am...By the time we checked in and filled in the appropriate paper work the wonderful ladies at the desk told me that if they can they will put us in front of all the other patients...Low and behold they did...It appeared that when we arrived the doctors shift ended at midnight and a new one came on...But the on call doc..didn't take any patients in...everyone had to wait for the new doc as he will have been filling out all the paperwork from the day...So we got a wonderful doctor by the last name of Doerksen...ironic..She was an opthomologist and was wonderful with Ty...So...what happened is Ty cut the white of his eye which is quite apparent as it is quite red...He also cut the cornea and pupil but appears to not be too deep...They did a vision test at the time and it seems as though his vision in that eye is 20/30...1 month ago it was 20/15 and so I pray it will come back. He doesn't appear to be in pain unless he cries as the tears sting. He also doesn't seem to be trying to touch the eye as much either...So lesson learned...If at all possible...never take your eye off of your child...I know it's almost impossible...but I sure will try...

All of these things so close to Christmas sure make you love every day more...I love my children more than words can describe and I thank Jesus for allowing me to spend each and every day with them...Thank you Lord!
