We were here about 7 years ago and alot has changed. The rocks you see us on last time we had to climb. This year we attempted to climb these rocks as we had done in the past only to find out once we finally got to the top and almost had a serious fall with Shawn and Ty that they have now made a path....(wow) So once on top the girls veered off the path and explored, and I basically had a heart attack trying to keep Ty close so he wouldn't get hurt. It's so beautiful here...minus all the people. I wish it was not as well known as it was 7 years ago. We basically had the whole place to ourselves the last time we were here....This time it was hard not to bump the person beside you. It was way to overcrowded. As we had read about how Morraine Lake is quite crowded and the only way to get away from all the people is to take a dangerous hike. I say dangerous as you are required to go with no less than 4 people and that most people who do go on this hike, do see the grizzly bear that frequents this area. The picture of our family is quite funny as I attempted to put the camera on the timer and take a picture of us...but almost fell into the water, not realizing the logs would give way upon stepping on them...whoops! The girls remembered this place and loved it just as much as last time. Not sure if Ty will remember this place...but the rocks, water and beauty of the mountains will always hold a special place in my heart.
