Before we went into surgery.
In 2nd recovery room (stayed in my arms - didn't want to go into the bed)
After peeing and being told he could go home. YEAH!
So the end result is....He's OK. Before surgery....he was OK. The middle made me and Ty's Daddy not so OK. Everything Boundary trails told us, including the meeting with the anesthetist was different the day of surgery. If anybody is told by a dentist that a child under the age of 5 has to get dental work by being put under...search until you find a dentist that will touch them. We thought we did our searching by going to 3 different dentists, but I'm sure there will be someone out there that will look at them or at least attempt to do dental work. Oh...and don't let them do dental work until they take x-rays....our mistake.
So here's the scoop. Ty goes to the dentist and we are told that he has 4 cavities...at least she thinks. He has big pits in his molars and would be susceptible to getting cavities if they don't seal or cap the back molars. She tells us we need to see a dental surgeon to get this done. So we start the search. To no avail, everyone agrees (even though they refuse to do x-rays). So day of surgery arrives and everything we were told didn't happen. The dentist came to see me after the surgery and tells me, he had a tiny cavity on 1 of the molars...In recovery they tell me he wouldn't have had to be put under for that. They capped all 4 molars because he was already under to ensure he wouldn't get any cavities. (crazy I know) I had to push hard to see Ty after surgery because of what we were told prior. They gave in. (Ty was put completely under for the procedure) They were pulling his intubation tube out when I got to see him. Gross...blood everywhere. He recognized me right away which they told me he wouldn't know who I was. He did. I held him for a approx. 2 hours until he asked for something to drink. He peed and we were out of there. Yeah...he was ok. So the pics will tell you more. As I said earlier...you can talk to me to get my feelings on something like this...I personally wouldn't ever do that again.
