John Rex Letkeman

Rex is only a few hours old in these pictures and is very alert. I can't believe he stayed awake the whole time we were there. I can't believe how good Max looked either. It looked like she had showered and had her hair and makeup all done. Rex looks more like his Daddy than his mommy. I guess that's a good thing considering he's a boy. Meadow looked more like her mommy when she was born. (Also a good thing). Meadow seems to be doing really well with all the changes. I loved it when I asked if she was going to see her baby brother how she corrected me in twirling around and saying "johnny rex, johnny rex". As proud new Auntie...I got to change a poopy diaper. So next time it will be another Auntie..(those ones might stink)
And so, the million dollar question is....Will this be the last of the babies for the Letkeman (Yurett) family or will John and Max have another one....I guess we'll have to wait a few years to all find out. Congratulations John and Max on a beautiful boy.

Proud cousin Amy holding baby Rex. She managed to babysit last night for John and Max for the first time. It was from 8:30 to 11:45pm. Wow times are changing and she is getting so old. It seems like just yesterday she was baby Rex's size. In fact Amy was close to his weight and height. Amy was 6lbs 10 oz and measured 18 1/2" long. Rex was 6lbs 12oz and was 19" long.

I have seen Ty excited before but this seemed different. Ty was so ecstatic about baby Rex...he knew we stopped at the Walmart before we went to see Rex to buy him a soother. Just before we left, Ty decided he would leave baby Rex his orange soo-soo. We did sneak it home with us...Although Ty has not seen that soother since, he managed to locate 3 older ones. We'll have to visit Rex more so that maybe he will leave all his soothers with him.
