No Pictures for this One, Just the Record Book

So, We were at Deb & Terry's last night to celebrate Sam and Jared's birthdays. Everyone had left. I was inside with the girls talking and Terry and Shawn were talking outside with Ty. Ty wanted in the van, so Shawn let him in. Again...kept on talking. All of a sudden, Terry says to Shawn....are your keys in the van, 'cause I think I heard the doors lock. Shawn says "yeah they are", walks to the van and sure enough, there's Ty with a huge smile on his face. He's locked Daddy out. Then decides to grab a sip of a Black Cherry drink that Shawn left in the van. Spills some drink on himself, Shawn points it out to him...he smiles and pours the rest out in front of himself, while his Daddy yells NOOOOO to Ty. Ty's not sure if Daddy can get in the van and high-tails it to the back of the van. Then Shawn has to prentend to smile and be happy so that Ty will come back to the front of the van to unlock the doors. Terry can't contain his laughter and comes to get me. Yes, this was quite funny. So between my sister getting a Gumball machine (with gumballs) and me enticing Ty to the front, Shawn holding a flashlight (because it's dark outside at this point) and pointing it at the buttons on the door, Ty can't figure it out. We're telling him to touch where the flashlight is...So he keeps touching the window. Finally he touches the button on the door....He looks at us and says with a grin from ear to ear...."this one....yeah, yeah, yeah (shaking his head in a yes direction)...We are all cheering, YES! And he presses it...the doors unlock. He gets his gumball...No punishment, because at this point we are all laughing at the situation and the look on Ty's face is way to priceless. Also, how can you punish him when he just did what we asked him to....Unlock the door. Note for next time...Bring extra set of keys with, place a key under the hood.....or just take the keys out when he is in there. Consider this a lesson learned on our parts....consider Ty's one up on his Daddy and got away with pouring out Black Cherry drink on his Daddy's seat....
